What is the PTI?

The Personal Transformation Intensive (PTI) is a powerful, life-changing personal growth program for anyone seeking to live life to its fullest.

Using innovative and powerful experiential techniques in a safe and accepting group retreat setting, it creates opportunities for healing and transformation that both complement and go beyond individual therapy.

This empowering program aids the removal of blocks to personal growth, explores self-defeating behavior patterns, and fosters a healthy community environment for transformation and healing.

The program focuses on healing trauma, co-dependency, the inner child, addiction, and limiting self-beliefs, while enhancing self-confidence, achievement, and relationships.

The PTI is an ideal complement to individual therapy, allowing you to go deeper and heal faster than is possible in one-on-one therapy alone. Many people like to combine both to maximize their growth. In those cases we are happy to coordinate with the therapist.

Powerful techniques

Heart-Centered healing modalities use:
  • a deeply experiential approach in a safe and supportive environment.
  • a light trance state—similar to daydreaming—to access and heal the source of your pain.
  • an ever-present link with the unconditional love in your own heart-center.
  • an acknowledgment of the vital role of your own spiritual connection.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is hypnosis?

Hypnosis is simply a relaxed state of mind, similar to when you are daydreaming or ready to sleep. It slows your brain waves down to a level that is more supportive to accessing subconscious material, while you remain fully conscious.

  • Why do you use hypnosis?

Most of our issues come from experiencing trauma, whether large or small. Trauma is defined by the individual; an event may not look traumatic to an outsider but can be very disturbing for an individual (particularly a child). When that happens, certain physical and emotional reactions are "burned" into the brain and central nervous system, where they can remain, causing us problems years later. Hypnosis allows us to access these and heal them.

  • How is hypnosis better than talk therapy?

Accessing the subconscious mind where memory, habit patterns and feelings are stored, allows healing to occur at the source of the problem. Often we developed mistaken negative beliefs about ourselves, when we were too little to have critical judgment to understand or deflect what was not true about us then—or now. Yet those very beliefs run through our conscious minds as present true negative things about us.

In hypnosis, neither your conscious mind nor your therapist choose how you should work on an issue, your subconscious mind guides both of you to the source of the corresponding negative belief and feelings that need to be healed, where you are supported in discovering a creative, empowering, corrective experience.

This is powerful, deep, and lasting healing.

  • I've never been hypnotized before, can I still come to the PTI?

Yes. We suggest that you meet with either of the facilitators, Laureen Rose or Jaimee Huseman, for an individual session prior to the PTI, so that you will feel comfortable with the process.

  • I'm already in therapy. What can PTI do for me that I don't get there?

Most individual therapy is based on talking with your therapist, to gain new insights into your issues and how to deal with them, within the framework of a safe, caring connection.

The PTI provides experiential learning through teaching, exercises and processes within the context of a healing community where each person is committed to addressing, and releasing their own issues while creating a respectful space for others to do the same. This format allows powerful feelings to emerge for healing as a result of interacting and being in relationship with others—often things that do not show themselves in individual sessions.

The opportunity to explore and heal our authentic selves within the safety of an accepting group allows us to feel known and understood at the deepest level. We are not alone—we share a common human condition.
